Welcome to Sugar Beet Studios LLC. By booking a session or purchasing any product or service, you agree to the terms below.

1. Appointments, Cancellations & Rescheduling

​

24-Hour Notice: Provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late Cancellations /No-Shows: Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice or missed without notice forfeit the session fee. Rescheduling Window: With proper notice, a session may be rescheduled once within 30

days of the original date, subject to availability. Punctuality: Late arrivals may shorten the session; the end time will not be extended. Chargebacks: Initiating a chargeback for services booked or rendered violates these terms.

2. Payment & Refund Policy

​

All Sales Final: Because services are personalized, payments are non-refundable once a booking is confirmed. Service Completion: Payment is due prior to the session. Services are considered rendered once the analysis/consultation occurs, regardless of subjective satisfaction. Packages/Gift Certificates: Valid for one (1) year unless otherwise stated; non-refundable and not transferable without written approval.

3. Virtual Services & Technology

​

Clients are responsible for adequate internet, lighting, and camera setup. No liability for interruptions or delays beyond Sugar Beet Studios’ control. If a session cannot be completed due to verified technical failure, a reschedule may be offered at the studio’s discretion. Client lighting/device calibration can affect results and does not create a refund right.

4. Home Studio & Accessibility

​

The studio operates from a private home; the address is provided after booking. Access requires one full flight of stairs. With advance notice (≥24 hours), reasonable efforts may be made to accommodate via virtual or alternate setup; a fully stair-free environment cannot be guaranteed. Clients and guestsassume the ordinary risks associated with stair use and agree to follow reasonable safety requests.

5. Guests, Children & Session Focus

 

Sugar Beet Studios LLC welcomes all clients in an inclusive and respectful environment. However, due to the nature of the services provided, clients are expected to arrange alternate care for infants and small children. Sessions require the client’s full attention and participation to ensure accurate results and a valuable experience. The studio is not equipped or insured to provide childcare or supervision of minors. For safety reasons, children must remain under the direct supervision of their accompanying adult at all times. Disruptions that interfere with the session may result in the appointment being shortened or rescheduled at the client’s expense.

 

6. On-Site & Travel Services

 

Available by request; additional fees apply based on distance, time, equipment, and logistics (quoted in writing). Client must provide a safe, well-lit, appropriate environment; venue/parking fees are the client’s responsibility. Services may be declined or discontinued if the environment is unsafe or unsuitable. Travel fees/deposits are non refundable once logistics are confirmed.

 

7. Right to Refuse or Terminate Service

 

Sugar Beet Studios LLC may refuse, cancel, or end any service at any time for inappropriate, disrespectful, harassing, unsafe, or otherwise concerning behavior — in-person or virtual. Sessions terminated under this clause are not refunded or credited. The studio assumes no further obligation or liability after termination and may contact law enforcement if needed.

 

8. Preparation & Appearance Requirements

 

Arrive makeup-free and free of products or treatments that alter natural coloring, including but not limited to: foundation/tinted moisturizer/concealer/powders; self-tanner or spray tan (avoid for at least two weeks); colored/tinted contact lenses; skincare with visible tint, shimmer, or blurring effects. Non compliance may require rescheduling at the client’s expense and may be treated as a late cancellation under Section 1. Disclose any permanent makeup, cosmetic tattooing, fillers, surgeries, or similar alterations; these may affect outcomes, for which Sugar Beet Studios LLC is not responsible.

 

9. Results, Assumption of Risk & Liability

 

Recommendations (color, style, wardrobe, product suggestions) are professional opinions; results vary by preference, lighting, device calibration, and other factors. Clients assume all risks related to actions or purchases following the session, including adverse product reactions. Sugar Beet Studios LLC and its owner are not liable for: client purchases/decisions; dissatisfaction with interpretations; or adverse reactions to products used or recommended. Indemnification: Client agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Sugar Beet Studios LLC and its owner from claims, damages, or expenses arising from the client’s breach of these terms or misuse of recommendations/materials.

 

10. Photography, Media & Privacy

 

Photos/videos/testimonials are used only with express written consent. Consent may be revoked in writing; previously published materials may reasonably remain in circulation. Session images, notes, and client data are stored for business and legal compliance and are not sold.

 

11. Intellectual Property (incl. III)

 

All materials used or provided—including color palettes (physical and virtual), digital color drapes, style forms, guides, and visual resources—are the intellectual property of Sugar Beet Studios LLC or the International Image Institute (III) and are used under authorization or license. Materials are for personal, non-commercial client use only and may not be copied, shared, reproduced, or distributed without written permission from Sugar Beet Studios LLC and, where applicable, III.

 

12. Minors

 

Services for clients under 18 require written parent/guardian consent and a parent/guardian present for the session unless otherwise approved in writing.

 

13. Force Majeure

 

The studio is not liable for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond reasonable control (e.g., illness, power/internet outages, severe weather, emergencies).

 

14. Changes to Policies

 

Sugar Beet Studios LLC may update these terms from time to time. The Effective Date above reflects the latest version posted on the website.

 

15. Governing Law, Venue & Severability

 

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa. Any dispute shall be brought in courts located in Scott County, Iowa. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.

 

16. Agreement to Terms

 

By booking, paying for, or participating in a session, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.
